Karen Anderson
Karen Anderson is the Executive Director and a member of the Board of WUN. She brings over 20 years of experience in the energy and utilities sector, with expertise spanning commercial, trading and optimisation of power assets, governance and delivery of cross-sector projects at EDF.
Throughout her career, Karen has been driven by her passion for supporting and empowering women in male-dominated industries – a motivation rooted in her own experience balancing a career alongside motherhood. She has actively championed inclusive networks like WUN, including serving on the EDF Women’s Network Steering Committee, and credits professional networks with helping her thrive and grow.
As Executive Director, Karen leads WUN’s strategic development, strengthening governance and scaling initiatives that support women to build fulfilling and sustainable careers in utilities. She works closely with the Board and advocates to deliver WUN’s mission of connecting, developing and amplifying women across the sector, as the network continues to grow its impact and membership.
