For the first time, the 2020 Water Industry Awards will feature a Women in Water category!

This award will recognise an initiative that helps to redress the balance and encourage more women to work in water. Organised by Water and Wastewater Treatment (WWT),  the event celebrates and rewards outstanding achievement and innovation in the UK water industry.

We are very excited that one of our WUN Founders, Dr Angie Needle is a Judge this year!  Angie spent her early career in the water industry and is keen to ensure that the achievements of women are recognised in this sector. 

Angie said ‘The entry deadline is the 17th January 2020 and I’m looking forward to hear all about the amazing achievements women have made. It could be an initiative or project that made a difference to your organisation, customers or the environment’ 

The awards will be taking place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on 20^th May 2020.
