Jo Greenan
“I’m honoured to be invited to become one of WUN’s advocates as I’ve experienced first-hand the greatness of WUN and look forward to contributing to its continued success!”
Jo has been working in the electricity industry for eight years in both retail at EDF Energy and the system operator with the newly formed National Energy System Operator (formerly National Grid ESO). Jo enjoys delivering complex change programmes which have a tangible positive impact on energy infrastructure; after having delivered the Pennine Pathfinder and at present delivering change to the electricity connections process as part of Ofgem and DESNZ’s Connections Action Plan.
Jo has come to know the Women Utilities Network well through attending events since 2019. The WUN-led IamRemarkable event that she attended in 2020 has made a lasting impact on her career as she still meets with these wonderful women every month and has made Jo realise the importance of strong networks.
The importance of strong networks has meant that Jo has a passion for creating safe spaces for women to come together and has enabled such initiatives at her own organisation and she now sits on the Steering Committee at her organisation’s Women’s Network called Women in NESO.
