As the only not for profit water company in England and Wales, Welsh Water is owned by Glas Cymru and has no shareholders and therefore works solely to enhance the interests of the customers and communities that it serves. It provides a vital public service to around 3.1 million people in Wales and parts of England.
We provide clean water that is safe to drink and take used water away, treating it so that it can be returned to the environment. We recycle the organic material resulting from the wastewater treatment process, generating valuable electricity and gas, and minimising the impact on the environment. We do this while doing all we can to keep bills affordable and supporting our vulnerable customers.
