Career

I currently work as an Energy Insight Lead at the Future Energy Scenarios Team of National Grid ESO under Strategy and Regulation. Prior to this, I was working as a Lead Research Engineer at the R&D Centre of EDF Energy UK.

I have worked extensively in the areas of long-duration energy storage, optimal valuation of energy storage co-located with renewables or as a standalone asset, second life batteries and transmission-connected energy storage. I am also the Lead of the ‘I am Remarkable’ initiative of Women in National Grid.

Before EDF, I was a modelling analyst at Energy Systems Catapult, working as part of their system integration and innovation team. I have a passion for energy storage and hence, I pursued a PhD in business models for battery storage co-located with wind farms, in the Centre for Doctoral Training in Power Networks of The University of Manchester (UoM).

I am currently working towards chartered engineering and I also obtained my first professional qualification as Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) with the Project Management Institute (PMI) in December 2017.

have a passion for diversity and inclusion matters and I am currently the Chair of the IEEE Power and Energy Society Women in Power in the UK and Ireland. I am also the project manager of Cigre Women’s Network in the UK
