This session will be led by WUN partner FYLD and will focus te journey of a start-up, the challenges and the roles involved.

Speakers : Shelley Copsey, CEO of FYLD and Aleksander Niedziolko, senior software engineer at FYLD

Overview of session: Shelley and Aleks will discuss how leading field workforce technology company FYLD approaches building its business, from customer research and insight, through to validation, business analytics and ultimately product design and build – and at each point, highlight the types of career opportunities that exist for forward thinking, ambitious people. They will also touch on how working in a fast growing start-up can be career defining, with employees often experiencing an acceleration of their growth through the multitude of opportunities that they are exposed to and a culture of action.

Shelley Copsey: Shelley is CEO of FYLD, a rapidly growing technology start up that enables field workforces to deliver safer, more efficient, operations. Shelley’s career began at consultancies KPMG & PwC where after many years in financial advisory she was a founding member of the Innovation & Disruption Team. She has led commercialisation of data technologies for Australia’s national science agency CSIRO, as well as having managed its investment portfolio of high tech spin out companies. Shelley is passionate about building amazing teams and is firmly committed to supporting diversity, equality and inclusion in the workplace – something she focuses on through her mentoring with WUN.

Aleksander Niedziolko: Aleks is a senior software engineer at FYLD, a rapidly growing technology start up that enables field workforces to deliver safer, more efficient, operations. Aleks has held a variety of roles at leading technology companies, and has a particular skill for deeply understanding how business problems should influence software design to ensure real problems are solved. His software engineering knowledge extends from leading development of apps across multiple platforms, full stack development and ensuring scalable product is built that can be deployed cost effectively.
