Career

I am Gentrack’s Sales and Marketing Director for UK and Europe with over fourteen years’ experience within the UK energy market built on a background of call centre and operational management. Operating at board level I have worked for both energy suppliers as well as the recognised largest TPIs within the business market. Having spent six years at British Gas at a senior level I went on to become the Managing Director responsible for the start-up and market entry of Extra Energy, recognised as the fastest growing energy supplier in both the domestic and SME market to date.

I have spent my time as a leading consultant in the energy sector, advising large and small energy suppliers as well as TPIs, bringing my wealth of experience and credibility to help the growth and success of businesses in the UK.

I possess a thorough knowledge of all aspects of running a business including; sales, marketing, service, technical and operational challenges for both start-ups and large corporations.

Why I Became a Mentor

I have spent over 20 years in leadership roles and have a passion for developing people. My goal has always been to see the people who work with me to exceed their ambitions and reach their goals.

I have been lucky to have seen the majority of my direct reports spanning over my career go on to bigger and better roles professionally as well as achieve their personal ambitions in their home life. Through my career I have been a trainer and people manager which has given me a good understanding of what makes people tick backed up by exposure to professional approaches to people development such as NLP, L&D psychology and good old-fashioned experience.
