We currently have a vacancy for a motivated and enthusiastic Customer Care Field Officer for the Eastern Region to join our busy Customer Care Team reporting to the Field Team Manager.

The role will primarily cover the East Sussex area.

The main duties will be as follows:

* Assist both internal and external teams with offering assistance to customers who may need additional help with paying their water bill.

* Complete high consumption investigations and obtain meter reads.

* Build up a working relationship with CAB offices and local authorities as well as resolving our field queries.

This role primarily provides assistance for the rest of the team with technical and customer issues from high consumption investigations, meter network queries, proving supplies on properties for our legal department, as well as offering tariffs which may help reduce a customer’s bill where needed. It would be preferable if the candidate has experience in dealing with meters and some knowledge consumption as well as working with people who may have sensitive issues, whether this be over the phone or face to face.

The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Must be self-confident, logical and a team player and be able to work unsupervised. The individual must be comfortable with visiting customers in their own homes. Be numerically aware, have a good understanding of household budgeting and be determined to see queries through to resolution.

The successful applicant must be prepared to travel across the whole of the South East Water area. A commercial van will be provided for this role and full training will be given.

The ideal candidate will need:

* A good standard of education to GCSE level or above (grade A to C) or equivalent.

* Be computer literate.

* Hours to cover 8am – 7pm. 37 hours a week. (You may be asked to work outside these hours if and when required)

* Full UK driving licence.
